It’s not for me is a series of artworks that highlight issues of inaccessibility and non-inclusive design in emerging technologies. The current series explores Virtual Reality. The general public and those more familiar with Virtual Reality are invited to visit a touring photography studio, share their experiences, and create striking photographs to highlight the issues and inadequacies of the current technology.

We – as community organisers, advocates, artists, designers, curators – need to help shape our future relationship with technology. If we don’t challenge the way technology innovation is structured now, these cultural blind spots become the founding principles of a new industry, shuttling vast swathes of the world’s population – predominantly women and people of colour out of the conversation.
